The Personal Funeral

The Personal Funeral

The Personal Funeral option suits those seeking a personalised farewell, balancing simplicity and individuality. With a focus on simplicity, this type of funeral is designed to provide a meaningful farewell without unnecessary costs, allowing you to personalise as you think best.

We are all unique and we believe that the funeral you are organising should reflect that. We will work with you to create a bespoke and personalised funeral, fitting for the person that has died.

Perhaps you have a traditional funeral at a church in mind, or a funeral at the crematorium that celebrates the life of the person that has died. Alternatively, a woodland burial that is an eco-conscious option may be more fitting for you. Our experienced team can help you. All of our bespoke funerals can be tailored to meet any budget.

With our Personal Funeral, our aim is to remove any stress related to payment during a difficult time. We will pay all third-party costs on your behalf and then invoice you, in full, 1-2 weeks after the funeral has taken place. This final bill will be payable within 30 days.

We are fully transparent with our costs and will provide you with a full estimate that breaks down all services.

FAQs about the Personal Funeral

Are there any hidden costs or additional fees we should be aware of?

At Tom Owen and Son, we pride ourselves on transparency, especially when it comes to costs. The price of our Personal Funeral covers all the essentials for a meaningful service. However, should you opt for additional customisations or services not included in the base package, we will provide you with a detailed estimate upfront, ensuring you're fully informed with no unexpected surprises.

How does the payment process work for the "Personal Funeral"?

Understanding the emotional and financial stress during this time, we aim to simplify the payment process. For the Personal Funeral, we cover all third-party costs upfront, providing you with peace of mind. We then present a detailed invoice 1-2 weeks after the service, which is payable within 30 days. This approach is designed to alleviate any immediate financial burden, allowing you to focus on saying goodbye.

If funds are available, payment can often be paid from the deceased person's bank account by taking a copy of the invoice and a death certificate. Funeral expenses are one of the few costs permitted to come out of an estate prior to probate.

Can we include eco-friendly or green burial options within this package?

Absolutely. We support eco-conscious choices and can include green options within the Personal Funeral package. Whether you're considering a woodland burial or other environmentally friendly alternatives, our team is here to guide you through the options and ensure the service aligns with your values and the wishes of your loved one.

What support and guidance do you offer in creating a bespoke funeral?

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing personalised support and guidance every step of the way. We're here to offer advice, answer any questions, and help you create a fitting tribute.

How flexible is the "Personal Funeral" in terms of venues and locations?

The Personal Funeral package is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing you to choose from a variety of venues and locations that best suit your wishes and those of your loved one. Whether it's a traditional service at a church, a ceremony at a crematorium, or a natural setting for a woodland burial, we're here to facilitate a service that respects your preferences and celebrates the life of the deceased.

Can we arrange visitations as part of this package?

We understand the importance of saying a personal goodbye, and our team will assist you in planning these moments in a way that is respectful and fitting.
