This option allows for up to 15 people to attend the funeral service without a formal officiant (no minister or celebrant). This is a great option for those that didn’t want a funeral service but perhaps feel the need for a send-off of some kind.

Are we allowed music?: Yes, you can listen to music.
Do I have to stay for the full 15 minutes?: No, you are welcome to leave whenever you are ready.
Can we talk during the service?: For this type of funeral, many families and friends choose to share stories during the time in the crematorium. Some people choose to stand and talk to those presents, others stay seated and talk amongst themselves, and others choose to reflect in silence, listening to music.
Why is the service only 15 minutes?: This service is designed for those who wish to attend the funeral but prefer not to have a full service. It is available at a lower cost from the crematorium specifically for this reason. The duration is limited to 15 minutes and does not include a formal officiant, such as a minister or celebrant, which are the conditions that allow for the lower fee.
Is it possible to personalise this type of funeral?: Yes, as long as the service does not exceed 15 minutes, or involve a professional officiant (such as a minister or celebrant), this service can be personalised to your wishes, including music, flowers, type of coffin, limousines, photos on screens, etc.

What’s included in the Farewell Funeral?

Meetings at your home or at our office to discuss the arrangements with your dedicated funeral director;
Respectful transport of the deceased person into our care from locations within a 50-mile radius of Llandudno;
Sensitive care of the deceased person in our funeral home in Llandudno;
Completion of all documents for the Cemeteries and Cremation office on your behalf;
Our guidance and support throughout plus our attendance on the day;
An oak veneer coffin suitable for cremation;
The use of our hearse on the day of the funeral;
The cremation fee (we use Colwyn Bay Crematorium at a designated slot) and you will be notified of the time and date of the funeral service;
The doctors certificate fee (where applicable);
Use of the music system at the Crematorium;
Collection of the ashes on your behalf within 3 days of the cremation;
A scattertube containing the ashes.
