Spiritualist Funerals
An increasingly popular term, 'spiritualism' brings a wider and broad diversity in beliefs. A Spiritualist funeral won't contain religious readings or rituals and is often viewed as a Celebration of Life.
At a Spiritualist funeral, it is likely that the deceased's life will be celebrated. The bereaved will share memories of them and will reflect on the times that they shared with the person that has died.
Spiritualist funerals can incorporate a burial or a cremation, with green funerals common. The bereaved may appoint a celebrant or family friend to lead the service, which will incorporate meaningful readings and poems, songs and flowers which are all personalised to the person that has died.
There is no traditional etiquette for clothing to be followed at a spiritualist funeral.
