If the person that has died has planned their own funeral, it's very likely that they will have made a decision about a charity already. It is therefore safest to opt for what they have requested.

Was there a charity they regularly donated to and supported? Or perhaps there were causes they strongly believed in supporting, such as children, animals or medical research?
